Reports:

Dec. 20th- Ali, Todd, and Renee's Party

(in place of the Benefit Show)

The show itself went really well. Jimmy didn't make it, but Glyolis, ShortFatFriend, and Dallin had a great time. Everyone at the party seemed to love it, and we all had a great time playing. However, after the concert is when the real fun began, when ShortFatFriend's Suburban we were in broke down 1/4 block from the Freeway onramp. More on that later!

"Down In The Park" and T.A.M.

The duet, which turned out to be not a duet at all but another side-project, featuring Glyolis and Jay was at Spanish Fork High School was on Mar. 5. We asked our friends Adam Raymond, a Sophmore at SFHS, to play drums, and Nic Jones, another Senior at SFHS, to sing with me (Gly) as we smashed out Gary Numan's song "Down In The Park" (the music you may be hearing if you have a JavaScript-enabled browser), as done by Foo Fighters on the "Songs in the Key of X" album(X-Files soundtrack). The highlight of the performance came when, during climax of the "extra verse" which is as close to a solo as we got in this song, I stepped back on my cord on accident and violently disconnected it from my guitar. After 2 sec of violent picking and no sound, I grabbed it and hurridely tried to place the jack inside the hole. For those of you who have never had this happen, that hole on the end of your guitar gets a lot smaller during a performance, especially mid-song. The cord had somehow not been wrapped around my strap on the back of the guitar (as was planned), allowing it to come off easily. Other than that, the performance went great. We'd like to thank all those who have supported us, and especially Dan Booth and Bert Hansen for lending us there amps. We'd also like to send a special thanks to the student council, who helped us fight the administration to be able to play. We have opted NOT to play for Prom, whereas we want to ask dates(and it just wouldn't be fair to them), but we may try to get gigs at other schools doing dances(junior highs and stuff).

May 14th Rockin' Pizza Hut Burnin' Inferno

Click on the title for a picture!

Infinitive Forest was asked by Pizza Hut of Springville, Utah, to play a show for them on Wednesday, May 14. It was a public show, with a $5.00 charge, which included all you can eat pizza and all you can suck drinks. The 'slogan' was "All the food you can eat, all the soda you can drink, and all the fun you can have. It was originally supposed to be disco, but hey, we were cheaper (free for them) and on hand when the decisions were being made by an employee assigned to find someone. We'd like to thank Richard Kagel for considering us, and just for being such a cool guy with his "cinnamon log creations" made out of pizza dough. Thank you to those of you who showed up, and a great big thanks to those who gave us tips. We won't say how much we made, but it was enough for our troubles. Richard Kagel would also like to thank the young woman who wrote a message on a "feminine hygiene product" and placed it in the tip's pitcher, and if she likes him that much would she just come out and let him know.
Unexpectedly, Aaron found out he had finals for a class at UVSC the night of the show, so he was taking tests. We'd like to thank Dalin Davis, who filled in with only a day's notice. Because of this we were unable to do "Cover Me" by Candlebox and "Turn Out the Sun" by Honest Engine, but that's okay. We screwed up some of the covers as it was, and those two Gly felt a little uncomfortable with anyway (lyrically...you try memorizing 18 songs word-for-word in a little under two or three weeks-it can be done, but it was hard and there were still mistakes).

Personal News

The band is on hold until 2000, because we're all on missions for the LDS Church. Thanks.

Other news:

The band is getting ready to record a demo sometime within the next month. The demo may include "The Last Battle", "Unity", "Wheel", and "Driftwood". Dalin has consented to help us out once again, Aaron sold his drumset. We'll keep you updated on everything. We'd like to start opening for bigger local bands, so if there are any out there who think you can help, let us know!
