- "Noel Scores Hat-Trick On Weller Tour"
- Noel Gallagher scored a hat-trick on the Paul Weller tour by turning up as a surprise, special guest at three shows last week.
- Noel took the stage for half-hour acoustic sets at Wolverhampton Civic Hall (July 6), Bristol Colston Hall (7) and Plymouth Pavilion (9).
- His solo spot included 'Be Here Now' ballads "Stand By Me" and "Don't Go Away", 'Morning Glory' classics "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back In Anger", 'Definitely Maybe' favourite "Live Forever" and covers of The Beatles' "Help" and The Jam's "To Be Someone".
- Meanwhile, Oasis have confirmed that their B-sides compilation album will be released worldwide by Creation on November 2.
- The album was originally intended for release in countries where the B-sides and singles were only available on import. However, due to the huge interest in the album, it will now be coming out all around the world.
- Tracks are reported to include "Stay Young", "Acquiesce", "Talk Tonight", "Half The World Away" and "Fade Away", at the suggestion of fans voting over the Internet.
