ABADDON INCARNATE :
NADIR

Abaddon, in the dictionary, is described as Hell or the Devil, from the Hebrew for destruction. The band started out back in 1989 as "Bereaved", two demos (Signs Of Death & Tortured Souls) were released under the old moniker, but by the time the third demo, When The Demons Come, was released, the band had made the name change. The first full length, The Last Supper, didn't appear until 1999, and receive only a limited amount of press. Two years later they are back with full length number two, Nadir, and what a scathing beast it is. Abaddon Incarnate plays an extremely fast, vicious breed of Death-Metal and Grind-Core. The songs go by at a blistering speed, averaging less than two minutes apiece. The guitars seem like they're gonna shred your ears, while the thunderous drumming tries to dislodge your earlier consumed breakfast with sheer sonic brute force. A dual vocal attack will leave you rubbing your throat as you experience sympathy pains for what these guys do. This is not the most unique recording, and you're not gonna find any new mind-blowing grind-tricks, but A.I. pounds it out fast and furious, just how you want it, and you'll be left beaten and winded at the end of this 43 minute attack. The only down side to the disc is the usual problem that plagues many in this genre, by about track number twenty, they all start to sound somewhat the same.
