ANGRA :
REBIRTH

Fans have been wondering for 3 long years, about the fate of their beloved Angra. Why, you ask? Because no less than 3 members left after the recording of '98's "Fireworks", including their vocalist, Andre Matos (now in Shaman). Fans can rest easy however, because "Rebirth" has arrived, and it is a strong second coming. New vocalist, Edu Falachi, does a fine job on this platter of Melodic- Power- Classical- Metal. Rebirth finds the band sticking to what made them special in the past, mixing mellow classical influences with all-out Power-Metal. The stand out track has to be "Unholy Wars", that just has such an infectious rhythm, you'll find you head nodding in approval almost instantly. Great stuff, but now they have to top it next time out… good luck boys.
RATING = 8 Power-Metal (Released 2001)
