Backdraft play a modern-day brand of southern rock. If you take that old school southern boogie of the 70s, and added hints of Grunge, Sludge, and Stoner-Metal. You'll get close to the Backdraft sound. You can even pick up hints of C.O.C. and Circus of Power! So where does this Hillbilly-Stoner-Southern-Boogie-Rock band come from? You guessed it, Stockholm, Sweden. The band started out in '97 as Morningwood, and put out a demo in '98. The name was then changed to Backdraft, and an EP, "The Goddamn Man", was released in 2000, and earned good reviews, and local radio play. "Here To Save You All", is the group's first full length outing, but man, was it ever worth the wait! This is one shit-kicker of an album. It makes you want to run out, buy some sour mash whiskey, head to a trailer park, and just get blitzed, while you crank this platter as loud as you can without getting' your ass thrown into county jail. The lead off track, "Convoy" is just so damn catchy you'll find your toes tappin' and your head bangin' before it's half way through. This young band has already played with some strong talent; Entombed, Raging Slab, Backyard Babies, W.A.S.P., Helloween, Leadfoot, and more. Do not miss this one, trust me.
