The Blue Punk Bugs (Pupongchung ) are a punk band from Korea. They incorporate many different styles ranging from Old-School Misfits, California Pop-Punk (Offspring), NYC Hard Core, Ska, and traditional Heavy Metal. This (as far as I can tell) is their second CD, it was released in 2000, and it simply kicks ass. Mind you the lyrics are all in Korean, so if that’s a problem for you, skip to the next review. Attitude drips from this CD, even when you don’t understand the language, you can still get the message. The songs on this CD are hard, catchy, and a mixed bag of styles that, somehow, manage to meld together in a way most would think impossible (there is even a punk version of the old country standard "Red River Valley"). After only 1 spin these tunes were going through my head for the next 2 days. Have fun getting this, it should be next to impossible... mine came directly from the streets of Korea.
