BRAVE :
WAIST DEEP IN DARK WATERS

Coming from a suburb of Washington DC, with two full length CDs under their belt, we have "BRAVE". Originally the band was known as "Arise From Thorns", which I personally think is a much kooler moniker, but that's not too important in the big picture. What is important however, are the three brilliant songs (and one so-so instrumental) on this CD single. Brave combine the emotional power of your favourite goth bands, with the musicianship of the top progressive metal acts. Without trying to make the other members of the band seem less important than they are, I must emphasize, that the voice of lead vocalist Michelle Loose is incredible, a perfect compliment to the sonic assault from the rest of the group. When you hear her sing the chorus to track two, "Dark Waters", you'll agree. The band is currently working on their new full length, if it turns out half as powerful as this mini CD, then it's a must have. For more info, check out www.bravemusic.com
