BRAVE SAINT SATURN :
THE LIGHT OF THINGS HOPED FOR...

Brave Saint Saturn is a side project from four members of the band "Five Iron Frenzy". We have; Reese Roper (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Dennis Culp (guitar, vocals), Keith Hoerig (bass), and Andrew Verdecchio (drums). They released "So far From Home" in 2000, and this is their second offering to the world. The band combines the worlds of Emo and Power-Pop into what they call "Astro-Rock". In reality, no matter what you wanna call it, it sounds like very marketable, MTV-ready, waiting to be the next big thing, type of melodic Punk. I mean this in a good way. Although they come across as one of the thousands of faceless bands on your favorite video channel, they have what most other bands don't, they have the songs to push themselves to the top of the pile. When I first heard track two, "The Sun Also Rises", it was so instantly catchy, that I could almost swear I'd known this tune for years, after just 30 seconds. The band has a great sound, and mixes it up nicely between the up-tempo, and the ballad-like tracks such as "Anastasia". These guys could go far.
