MY RESURRECTION

The band's main man is Bulgarian guitarist Nikolo Kotsev, over the last decade he has release album after album made with a multitude of singers. This time out we have Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow / Deep Purple), Goran Edman (Malmsteen), Tony Harnell (TNT / Starbreaker), and Erik Martensson (Eclipse) contributing their vocal talents. Also along for the ride is a full-blown, 31-piece Bulgarian string orchestra! The name of the game here is 80s styled Melodic-Rock. Now when I say melodic, I really mean "wussy", and when I say wussy, what I really mean is "exceedingly gay". I know that's not the politically correct term to use, but I really can't think of any other word or phrase in the English language, slang or otherwise, that truly captures the same essence. The cheese just oozes out of this disc, it's absolutely everywhere! If it were a pizza, I'd be in seventh heaven. There's so damn much of it, I don't know how they're gonna be able to fit it all into a standard CD jewel case. I guess it'll have to be a box-set, an envelope for the disc itself, and a 12” x 12” hermetically sealed metal box to house the excessive amount of stinky formage. This is the sort of Rock that just makes me cringe, and has me rolling up my car windows in case anyone hears me playing it. Now, there are some good vocal performances, and excellent musicianship on hand, but man, it's just going to waste. For more info, the band's home page can be found here.
