SPEND ETERNITY WITH THE BRIMSTONES

Finally a band playing garage and instrumental surf music for Satan! It's about fuckin' time! "Spend Eternity With" is this New Jersey band's first stab at a full-length release, although they have appeared on many compilations, and put out a 7" in 2001called "Satan's Crate". So, how can I set the scene for you? Imagine if you will, if all the cool Universal monsters from the 30s and 40s (Dracula, the Wolfman, the Mummy, Frankenstein, etc.) were hanging out at a Tiki lounge near the beach, well, the Brimstones would be the perfect house band. If you have trouble picturing that, try this: if Quentin Tarantino made an old fashion monster movie, this CD would most definitely be the soundtrack. The band features Wooley "The Bully" Brimstone - bass & self-abuse, Lord Skooch - sax & screaming, Deacon Brimstone - vintage Farfisa organ & shouting, The Brain - guitar & reverberation, and Baron Brimstone - drums & beatings. You get 19 tracks of creepy, organ-led surf tunes, mixed in with messy guitar-encrusted garage rock, all wrapped up in an evil vibe that should please everyone from Punks, to Goths, to... god knows what. If your CD collection is boring you to death, and you need something different, this is it. The only other band I can really compare these guys to is the Famous Monsters, if ya dig them, the Brimstones should be right up your ally. After you hear this, you'll either think these guys are too cool for school, and become a fan. Or, you'll think they're a total joke, and still become a fan.
