CAMAROS :
ROMANTIQUE

The Camaros are yet another kool band out of Norway. I'm now quite sure that every person in Scandinavia, under the age of 30, is in a band…. It must be a law or something, like forced military duty. On a more serious note, the Camaros come at ya like a dirtier, grittier version of Monster Magnet. In fact, vocalist Christian Sandaker, sounds a lot like Monster Magnets drugged out screamer, Dave Wyndorf. So, what you're gonna hear is lo-fi, garage style stoner rock with plenty of 70's guitar riffs. I find when listening to "Romantique", that each song starts out really strong, with a head crushing riff, or beat, so you're thinking this tune is just gonna kill! Then, the song will start to meander, and never take off like you thought it would. For example, "Babe You Got Me Down" & "Crank" both start off so fuckin' heavy, you think one of them just might be the song of the year, but then they just kind of loose their way half way through. They do get it right most of the time though, "In A Hole", "Jugs", & "Romantique" are short songs, but they're worth they're weight in gold. Good stuff, not perfect, but worth your $.
