COLLIDER :
WCYF (WE'RE COLLIDER... YOU'RE FUCKED)

When I first saw this lame looking cover I didn't expect much. In fact, I thought it was going to be that MTV style of so called "Punk", watered down even more than usual to the point that my grandparents would have liked it. But, covers can be deceiving, and thank god, this was one of those times. Collider are from New York City, and have dished us up six tracks of pure fun. We have that oh so snotty arrogance, mastery of at least 4 cords, quick dry wit, and the ability to rock like a MF. Some famous names turned out to lend a hand on this thing, we have Tommy Ramone in the producer's chair, and C.J. Ramone shows up for a guest appearance on the closing track, "Say Yeah". A song that could have easily been a lost mid-era Ramones classic! Out of the six tracks presented, I absolutely love five of them, only "Aftermath" sounds a little to mainstream for my taste. The rest are pure gold, standouts include; "If They Don't Come Back", a song that proves once again that swearing = cool. Sorry Mom, that's just how it is, and the killer "God Bless Us Anyway". After listening to this for the first time, I was hooked, and I swear it stayed in my car stereo for over a week solid! Which can be a problem when you have other discs to review. This is the disc that will help older punks, still listening to Johnny Thunders, and the Ramones, bridge that generation gap with their kids that only listen to Good Charlotte and Sum 41. If I was still 21, I would so be getting drunk to this every Saturday night for the next year. So basically what I'm saying is... it's got a good beat, and you can dance to it, I give it an eight out of ten. For more info, check 'em out at collider.com.
