Das Scheit is a creepy, Marilyn Manson looking, Industrialised, Metal-ish, Goth band from Germany. Basically, I could end the review there, and you'd probably have a good idea of what the band sounds like. Anyway, the band formed in '96, and this is album number three, for the sleazy, suicidal foursome. (Yes sleazy, when your vocalist is telling people to suck his dick, that makes you sleazy... not that there's anything wrong with that.) Musically, this covers a lot of territory, and depending on what musical style you personally like, will determine what genre you think this belongs in. So, the biggest elements are Industrial and Goth, so you're gonna hear elements of Mr. Manson, NIN, Girls Under Glass, Rammstein, and Lacrimosa. However there are also electronica/synth elements, as well as a heavy dose of Metal guitar. Not everyone will be able to dig this, you'll need to have the ability to ignore any foreseen rules and boundaries that the music community has placed on various sub-genres. The songs won't blow your mind, or knock you for a loop, but they are pretty catchy, and have a lot of edge to them. If ya dig guitars, keys, Manson's heavier stuff, and don't have an aversion to black eyeliner and fetish wear, then I would recommend "Superbitch" for your next house trashing party.
