DEATHBOOT :
BALLCRUSHER

Deathboot are yet another killer band out of Sweden. The culprits this time around are: Billing (vocals), Wendel (guitar), Ludde (bass), and Viktor (drums). Their style of music is extreme to say the least. The sound for those who have ears attuned to only metal, will come across as Grind-Core, but there is more going on here than that. In the background there are rhythms and time changes that are more punk than metal. This sound is often referred to as Crust or Boot-punk. The vocals are harsh, and Death-Metal like in nature, leading to a band that sounds like a cross between The Exploited and early, Scum-era Napalm Death. The songs are short, and chaotic, but still manage to find a groove between all the blast-beats, before they come to an abrupt halt. The band has only been around since '99, but has already done 4 demos plus this promo CD! Track two is an ode to the one true god, "CLINT EASTWOOD", so you know this band has to be kool. Check these lyrics,

"The good, the bad, the ugly too...
I smoke cigars, who the fuck are you???
With my evil stare I'll make you run!
I'll fuck your wife, just for fun!"

and this great verse,

"If steel is hard, then what is he?
Tougher guy there will not be!
Whiskey is water, cigars are fresh air...
Bad guys are breakfast, anytime, anywhere!!!"

Fine you say, praising Clint is great and all, but what other songs do they have? Well, they have sweet little ditties like; "BITCH-ASS MOTHERFUCKER", and the power ballad "YOU SCREAM IN PAIN WHEN I CRUSH YOUR BALLS". (In case you're an idiot, I was being sarcastic). This is for the strong only. If you consider what you see on MTV as punk, then chances are, that this will send you crying for your mommy.
