DECEIVERS :
PROMO CD 2001

This 3-track promo from Brazil's Deceivers, rocks pretty hard. It's just a taste of their second full-length offering, the first being 1999's "Third Machine". This thrash outfit has fully embraced Nu-Metal to form a strange, but effective hybrid of the two styles. The first track, "Bloodstain", is a harsh thrash filled beast, with only a hint of Nu-Metal rapping, but tracks two & three, "Unsure" & "Vanished Without A Trace" are pure new school. Try to imagine Machine Head, mixed with Sepultura, Puya, and Slipknot, and you'll be close. Lots of wicked, harsh vox, mixed with clean, which is the genera's standard. For more info, check out Deceivers on line.
RATING = 7 Nu-Metal (Released 2001)
