THE UNION UNDERGROUND :
...AN EDUCATION IN REBELLION

The Union Underground were better the first time I heard them, when they were called Power Man 5000. Joking aside, these guys sound a LOT like PM5K, and when they are not imitating them, they are mimicking Alice In Chains. That being said, this is a decent CD, the two standout tracks being; "South Texas Deathride", and "Turn Me On Mr. Deadman". These two tracks are what today's mosh pits are made for. I have a feeling these guys will be huge in the near future, as the lighter songs on the CD are just what radio is looking for, well, the stations that still play anything heavy at all. Not the most original work, but armed with PM5K's music and image, and vocalist Bryan Scott's girl-pleasing washboard stomach, they should do quite well for themselves.
RATING = 7.5 Nu-Metal (Released 2000)
