Heres some background for those who dont already
know what Typhoons are... And there are lots of you...
The Typhoon is a very limited edition GMC, that
was only released for two years, 1992 and 1993... It happens to be the
world's fastest sport utility ever, reaching 0-60 in 5.2 when STOCK...
with mods it can blow hell of anything else in the next lane... So how
did it start?
Back in 1991 GMC built this extra super fast pickup truck and called it a Syclone... It was like GMC's other pickup, the S-10, but it was lower, with a few modifications and a turbo. Thats a 4.3litre Intercooled Turbocharged engine. Thats 280 horsepower....
For you people who aren't really into cars or techinical details... Thats a LOT of power...
Sooooooo... this Syclone pickup was capabale of
going 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds... and that is FASTTTTTT...
Ford Mustang? No competition... Nissan Maxima?
They race them for fun... Other sport cars? Bring them on!
Ferrari 348? Nope sorry... In an official road test the GMC Syclone kicked Ferrari a$$ too... I hope youre getting the idea here??? To read a copy of this test click on the image below...
Anyway in 1992 GMC decided to also build a Sport utility based on the same platform and engine. And here we have the Typhoon... In other words this is a Syclone Jeep if you will... The fastest jeep on planet earth... Thank you =)
It was only built in limited editions for 2 years, 92 and 93... Theyre very rare and hard to find, but if you do see one on the street, let me know!

There... that was a little basic background info... I just hope you realize this is not just any jeep... ;)
