After a long time without news finally 2008 brings 2 (yes two) new JS model are the JS1600 PSV and a prototype for the 20 years check 'em at ibanez rules..

As you can see the site is growing slowly, the truth , as you maybe noted is that the JS model (and maybe all the ibanez signature model) had not great changes every year like in the past, this is a good thing for me (and not for the collector) the most important thing of this guitar is the way SHE plays, just one other thing I'll try to do some graphical changes in the near future..

First of all sorry, this year was poor of update of the site :) I wish everyone an Happy 2006 and I leave you with this news taken from Joe's site:
Joe and Planet Waves will officially launch a line of new straps and picks at the Anaheim NAMM show at a private concert event during the show. The great news is, the concert will be webcast for Joe's fans here at Satriani.com in early February! Stay tuned to the site for more details.

From Joe's official site info about his live gear : "It seems there are questions about my live amp set up, here it is: JS1000's into a pedal board, old school style, with: 535 wah, RMC custom wah, Boss Harmony Machine, Boss DS-1, Barber Burn Unit, Fulltone Ultimate Octave, Fulltone, Deja Vibe, Digitech Whammy, Boss DE-2. On to the front of a JSX head, high input, by Mike offstage. Mike actually has two heads stacked and ready to switch in case of unforseen problems. I have two delays running in the effects loop as well. A single JSX head powers 2 JSX 4x12 bottoms. Sitting on top of those heads are 2 more JSX back-ups, plugged in, turned on, but, not running any speaker cabs. Sometimes, space permitting, we put a third cabinet on stage. We travel with four. Those of you who have been part of the Platinum package groups have seen this set up when attending sound check and have had a walk on stage. This a mono set up. When out of the USA I use local Peavey JSX gear. Here in Mumbai, where I am today, I will use a local JSX amp and speakers, and leave it here in India when the tour is over. It's a dream come true to have my signature series gear meet me whever I am in the world and always sound so great. Much love to my Peavey buddies(:?)... Joe"

I MET THE MAN, I had the luck to meet Joe for his G3 date here in Rome, AMAZING NIGHT , Joe got also a couple of new JS , one with some "dotted" multicolor grapich (maybe a js2000) and one with 7 strings really similar in the finiture to a JS 100 ,Transparent Red and with chrome hardware...(you can see the images of this last one on the rehersal photo of his official site)

"IS THERE LOVE IN SPACE?" is the title of new Joe's work that will be released on April 13th, note that on the front there is a JS10th and on the back a new JS1200 :) then 2 words from Joe about his new Peavey amp: "the jsx is a 100 watt tube amp with three channels. there's a really crystal clear clean channel, which will also take any pedal you plug into it. the 2nd channel is like playing a cranked fender bassman. then we took peaveys triple xxx amp and the elements of the 5150, and blended the two to get the third channel. we added the resonance and presence controls from the 5150 and brought them to the front of the amp. then there's a "Fat" switch, which is perfect for 7-strings, and a variable noise gate, which is easy to adjust on the fly"

First of all happy new year to everybody then a great news directly from Joe: "The NAMM show in January will see the release of my new signature amp with Peavey,the "JSX",it's a screamer! And, a new Ibanez JS model, red body and headstock, with a newly designed DiMarzio neck pickup, "PAF JOE", to better match the Fred" ;the new JS must be the same you can find in the G3 photos around the web..

Great news for 2004 (thanks to Sphere) seems that for 2004 there'll be a new JS model , these is from an Ad on GW magazine : "So what are these '80s guitar heroes doing now? Some thing they were doing in the '80s. Setting the world afire with brilliant, unearthly and searingly beautiful guitar playing. With one big difference. They're doing it even better now than they were then. In January 2004, Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons and Steve Vai will each get new Ibanez signature models."
