» CHAPTER TWO «

"I just thought of something we forgot, Babe" Alex replied looking at me.

"What's that, Hun?" I asked.

"We need to go to the airport today so we can reserve seats for your family coming in from Alaska."

"And your family coming in from Cali."

"Oh, yeah. Forgot about them."

"That's not very nice, Alex" I replied playfully hitting him on the leg as we pulled into a parking lot of an unknown place. "Where we at?" When he didn't answer I looked around better."Ohmygod! Alex, you're so sweet!!"

"I thought you'd like to spend some time alone since we've been planning the wedding and stuff lately. We've been surrounded by family and friends trying to help us get the wedding ready."

"I changed my mind about the wedding" I said hesitantly when we got out of the car. He had taken me to the beach - my favorite place in the world.

"Do you mean you don't wanna get married?" Alex asked shocked.

"Of course not. I want to marry you. I just don't want a big wedding. Lets go away somewhere and get married."

"You wanna elope?"

"Yeah. We can tell our families we're going away because we're getting stressed out. The guys, Katie, Jenna, Heather and Jackie can come with us" I said trying to convince him to go along with the plan. "We can go ahead with the original plans instead, if that's what you want."

"Why don't we just go on vacation with our families and do it there. That way there's not a lot of people around and we don't have to have a big wedding."

"Because my dad's making a huge deal outta this. It is a big deal and everything, but my dad's making it bigger than it has to be. I didn't want everyone in the world to know our wedding date cause now we're gonna have a lot of fans show up at our wedding. Not all of them will be to happy about you and me getting married."

"If you wanna go away with a few of our friends then that's what we'll do."

"Thank you. Now I know exactly why I love you so much" I said hugging him tightly.

"Why's that?"

"Because you're so sweet and good to me."

"I thought you loved me because I look so damn good" Alex teased.

"Well, that t-" I started before he stopped me with a passionate kiss.

"Lets go. I told the guys I'd be at Kev's by 2" Alex replied after a few minutes of silence.

"Why Kev's?"

"Jackie's supposed to meet Howie there."

"Oh, ok. Lets go" I replied walking to his truck. Just as the music to Shania Twain's "Honey, I'm Home" came on. "The car wont start-it's falling apart... I was late for work and the boss got smart... My pantyline shows - got a run in my hose... My hair went flat - man, I hate that...... Just when I thought things couldn't get worse... I realized I forgot my purse... With all this stress - I must confess... This could be worse than PMS...... This job ain't worth the pay... Can't wait 'til the end of the day... Honey, I'm on my way... Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!... Honey I'm home and I had a hard day... Pour me a cold one and oh, by the way... Rub my feet, gimme something to eat... Fix me up my favorite treat... Honey, I'm back, my head's killing me... I need to relax and watch TV... Get off the phone - give the dog a bone... Hey! Hey! Honey, I'm home!"

"You have the most beautiful voice I've ever heard" Alex complimented me.

"Thank you, but you know that ain't true. You have the most beautiful voice."

"You do."

"No, you do."

"We both do."

"Fine" Alex replied turning into Kevin’s driveway.
