» CHAPTER FIVE «

The next hour or so was spent with me and Katie going through all my clothes. I have a huge walk-in closet that's overloaded with clothes I've bought on tour and when I go on vacation. Since my dad doesn't really use my mom’s closet space I have a lot of clothes put away in his closet. It's just mainly my really fancy dresses and things I don't wear very often. I got all my moms jewelry and clothes when she died. Along with all Alexis' stuff, which includes her cheerleading outfits, even the one she wore to nationals love having so many clothes to choose from.

"Do you wanna pack your make up right now or wait ‘til last minute?" Katie called form my bathroom.

"I'll pack my make up and carry-on bag tomorrow night" I replied as she walked out of the bathroom with my lotion and shampoo in hand. "What are you doing? I plan on showering tomorrow and using my lotion."

"Is that the lotion that smells like the rain?" Alex asked from my queen size bed where Matthew had fallen asleep.

"Yeah, why?" I asked.

"I love the smell of fresh rain, especially on my favorite person."

"Look at Matt, isn't he an angel?" Katie asked so we'd stop the mushy stuff.

"He's so sweet. I can't wait ‘til I have kids of my own" I replied dreamily.

"I love being around kids, they're so cool" Alex replied as someone knocked on my door.

"Come in" I called as David walked in. "Hey, little brother."

"I did the dishes for you. I know you're always doin' stuff around the house and I thought you'd like to have a break from the dishes."

"Thanks. You wanna join us? We're talking about angelic kids and having kids."

"Sure, where's Matt?"

"He's on Panda's bed sleeping" Alex replied.

"So how many kids do you want, Dave?" Katie asked when we were all seated.

"I want to have two or three, but not until I'm married to someone I really love. What about you, Katie?"

"I want to have a lot of kids. I'm an only child and it sucked growing up without any siblings" Katie replied looking at Alex and me. "Have you two decided how many kids you want to have?"

"Not yet. I wanna have at least three though" I replied tilting my head to see Alex better. "What do you think, honey?"

"I don't care how many kids we have cause I'm not the one that has to go through all the pain of child birth" Alex replied. "As far as when we have our first kid, I don't know when, but I don't want to start too late in life. I'd like to start trying on our wedding night."

"I wanna have kids soon. That way I'm not 50 when my daughter goes to her first prom" I answered.

"You guys are like the perfect couple. You haven't argued over anything, not even wedding plans" David replied in a disgusted voice.

"I gotta go. Jessica's gonna be mad if I'm too late."

"Jessica's a b*tch. Why are you sharing your place with her?"

"She pays half the bills" Katie replied walking out the door. "I'll call you later, Vicki!"

"I'm gonna go home. Thanks for dinner, sis."

"Bye, Dave" Alex and I replied simultaneously.
