» CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO «

I almost broke down looking at them. The title flaunted a large picture of them from the tour. I looked at the article. It was well written, and was a very good review towards the Boys. I forgot the coffee and ran out of the cafe and took off in my car. I went home and just fell asleep on the couch.

I woke up the next morning with the sunlight in my ears. I stretched and padded into the kitchen. On the table were a bouquet of flowers. I read the card:

I smiled and called Brian. As soon as he answered, I bursted, "Flowers?"

"What flowers?" he asked.

"Stop playing! The flowers on the kitchen table!" I exclaimed.

"I didn't send any flowers to you... Though it's a cool idea."

"You're serious about this, aren't you? Someone must have been in my house last night because they weren't here before." I got really scared. A stranger could get in and out of my house with a key and could hurt me.

A knock came from the door. "I'll call you later, Brian. Bye." What kind of robber knocks on the door? I opened up the door and found AJ.

"Hey," he said quietly.

"Would you happen to know who sent me these flowers?" I lifted them to his eye level.

"It was me," he admitted kind of quiet, "I really like you a lot, Morgan. And since you and Brian broke..."

"We didn't break up, Bone," I informed him politely, "But did he tell you guys that we broke up?"

"No, he didn't say anything. I just saw you rush out so fast of that room with an unhappy look on your face that I knew... You are so beautiful, Morgan. Please say you have feelings for me, too."

I looked at him. He wasn't wearing his sunglasses, just a cowboy hat. A sleeveless shirt and some baggy jeans. "I don't...I am sorry, AJ. I love Brian. You and me are just friends..." He tried to convince me, but it didn't work. "I love you as a brother or a friend, but nothing more."
