"I'm glad not all things are genetic." I designed my thoughts of myself as Valley-style. My reddish-brown hair in a high ponytail like the one my sister sports often. Really tight clothes revealing my tan skin and my Chinese tattoo symbolizing confidence next to my pierced belly button. I would absolutely tongue the "lingo" that drives me mental in real life and my matching egotistical, bubble-headed personality. "So anything opposite of my sister is okay, right?" I repeated him, shaking off the thoughts of becoming even a fraction of my sister.

"I guess," Brian said, slurping the last noodle in his plate.

We talked a little longer, paid the bill and left. We walked across the street to a little park near a lake. I looked up. "Looks like rain." Brian nodded. We kept walking, talking about anything that popped in our heads. Rain started pouring from the Heavens.

"We should go back," Brian directed my attention.

"Why? It's like a shower from God," I told him, "It's his way of saying we need a bath."

"But we're gonna be soaked soon!" he complained.

"Fine, you go to your car, I'll stay here. I'll be fine. But you're missing out if you leave." I looked at him. His shirt clung to his chest, his hair a frightful mess. He looked like he was arguing with himself.

"Oh, c'mon! Give in!" I grabbed his wet hand. "We can go swimming in the lake!"

"You are officially crazy!" Brian yelled playfully.

"And so are you for coming with me, now let's go." I pulled him on the dock. "Look at that!" I bent down at the edge of the dock.

He bent down beside me. "What?"

I pushed him in the water. He didn't surface. "Brian?" I leaned in closer and then I was suddenly pulled in. I emerged and found Brian smiling sweetly. He shivered slightly.

"Your shirt is heavy and won't dry fast enough," I observed, "Take it off."

"You aren't doing this for looks, right?" he assumed.

"You can catch a cold faster if you had the shirt on. Seriously." I sounded like Mom. "I'll turn around if you want."
