» CHAPTER SEVEN «

Summer grinned as AJ pulled her onto his lap and settled down to watch the game. She reached over and took his hand, entwining their fingers together. Every time a big play was made the room would get deafeningly loud. Brian and Nick were the main loudmouths of the bunch, Brian jumping around and yelling at the refs.

"Dang that was a stupid call! You jerk! That's why they have the instant replay, use it!" he yelled incensed. "I'm gonna go talk to Bri", he said and stomped into the kitchen. "Hey sweetie, whatcha doin?" he asked his girlfriend when he walked in, going over to her and putting his arm around her shoulders.

"Just girl talk, and how proud we are of all of you. Another Grammy and all," she told him. Brian poured himself a glass of Coke and then gave her a peck on the cheek.

"Well thanks, so ya'll gone come watch?" he asked and began to walk back in the den.

"No thanks" they said.

Brian returned to the game just as the Rams scored a touchdown. Hollers erupted and Brian began to jump up and down, "Haha! Go St. Louis, go St. Louis, it's your birthday!"

Summer and AJ also stood up and were high-fiving everybody. Everyone but Sky who was steaming while she sat on the couch watching her boyfriend and Brian hug. Nick saw her and walked over.

"Awww baby, come on. Just one little touchdown, now we're tied," he said. "Whatever" she gruffly told him. Nick began to tickle her and Sky erupted into giggles. The group was used to the two of them and ignored them.

Summer was talking to Kevin about how Ally and him met when AJ came up to her, putting his arms around her and kissing her cheek. "Hey baby, having fun?" he asked her.

"I am cause you're with me now," the pretty girl in his arms replied.

"Feisty little talker, I like that" AJ flirted. She playfully slapped him on the thigh and they sat down to watch the game again. He pulled her back on his lap.

Summer snuggled in closer in AJ's arms, sort of building a little nest for herself in his arms. He looked down at her 15 minutes later to see her head on his shoulder, eyes closed. She was dead asleep.

"Guys I better take Summer home, I think she had an eventful day," J said. They all agreed and toned the level down on the noise a bit.

"Summer, hon? You need to get up" he quietly said into her ear. She groaned. AJ picked her up, letting her rest her head on his shoulder as Nick opened the front door. "Bye ya'll!" he called out.

"Night Bone! "

20 minutes later he arrived at her house. This time Summer woke up. "Babe we're here" AJ announced.

She picked her head up and yawned. "Already?"

Together they walked up to her front door and she unlocked it and turned around to face him. His face was serious, yet his eyes were glowing with admiration and affection for the girl whom he had just met yet was so madly infatuated with. Summer's eyes reflected the same. He stepped forward and cupped her face in his hands, bringing her lips up to meet his own. The kiss was wonderful, Summer put her hands on his waist, deepening it. After a few moments he pulled away.

"Night baby, I am so lucky to have met you, you're one-in-a-million Summer", he whispered.

She blushed and hugged him, then kissed the tip of his nose and went inside, quietly shutting the door.

The famous man happily jogged back to his jeep, thoughts of his girl in his mind.
