» CHAPTER TEN «
~ One Month Later ~
The guys were invited to Sugar Ray's Album Release Party at a club by the ocean. Julia, Jordan, Kymmi, and Jana came along as their guests. Kymmi and Howie decided to dance. The music was loud and fast and they couldn't resist. The dance floor was crowded but there was enough room for the two of them.
Jana, A.J., and Brian were sitting at a table next to the dance floor on a higher level. "I'll be right back," Brian said getting up. They watched as he left the table, and walked across the dance floor to where the bathrooms were.
"Jana," A.J. said touchig her hand.
"Hmm...," Jana replied snapping back into reality.
"You alright?"
"Yea, I'm fine. It's Brian..."
"Listen, the past few weeks have been hard on Brian. But he's gonna be alright. He's strong, he'll get through this."
Jana smiled, "I know."
"So I was thinking, maybe you could come over to my place tonight. That is if you're not doing anything after the party."
"Maybe... if i'm not doing anything," Jana replied with a sly smile.
Nick and Julia were over by the drinks. They poured non-alcoholic Pina Coladas into their cups. The drink was so good they had five cups of it.
"Psssst, hey Julia," Nick said whispering loudly.
Julia gulped down another cup. "Yeah?" she said whispering herself.
"Does this taste funny to you?"
"Yeah, I think it has alcohol in it" Julia said laughing.
Nick had a confused look on his face, "Wait, but this is non-alcoholic," he said holding up the small sign.
Julia burst out laughing spitting her drink all over Nick. "That's for the other drink. We read the wrong one." Nick turned the sign around and looked at it.
"OOOppppsss..." Nick said laughing. He stopped after awhile and said, "Julia?"
"Yeah?" Julia said stopping herself also.
"You look hot," He said bursting out into laughter again.
Julia started to laugh also, "I think you look hot too."
"Come on," Nick said grabbing Julia's arm and stumbling out the door of the club.

Look at her dancing. Next to him. In his arms. It'll all be over soon. Then it'll be just me and Howie. Like it's supposed to be. Just like it's supposed to be.

"A.J., I'm gonna go out for a little while."
"I'll come with you," A.J. said getting up.
"No, I just need to be alone for a little while. Don't worry, I'll be back soon," she said giving him a kiss. Jana walked on the beach next to the club. The air was warm and the ocean was silent. No one was around, and she wanted it that way. She looked up at the stars. They were so beautiful. Untouched, they were pure. She wanted them all... but it was something she could never have. She continued walking along the beach... before she knew it, someone grabbed her from behind. He started to kiss her neck. She smiled, "Hey A.J."
He stopped, "Sorry babe, I'm not A.J." She stopped smiling and turned around. Before she could scream for help he covered her mouth and pulled out a gun. "Don't even think about it." He told her to lay down on the ground. As he unzipped his pants, she began to cry. He had his way with her and now he was through. He stood on top of her and pulled out his gun. She bit the inside of her lower lip and closed her eyes.

What does he see in her anyway? One look at me, and he'll be mine. That b*tch. I can't take it anymore.

Kymmi and Howie were still on the dance floor when a woman approached Kymmi.
"Hey, you're Kymmi right?"
"Yeah, do I know you?"
"No, but I know you."
"Really? How?"
"It's not important. Is this your boyfriend?"
"Yes, it is..." Kymmi said still a little confused.
"Oh... too bad you won't have him anymore."
"What.." Before Kymmi could say anything else, the girl pulled out a knife and plunged it into Kymmi's stomach.
Howie grabbed Kymmi and she fell into his arms. "Someone call an ambulance, Please! Kymmi you're gonna be alright. I'm here with you. It's gonna be okay."

Jordan and Kevin left the party early to go look for Nick and Julia.
"I'm sure they got tired and just went home" Jordan said a little worried.
"Yeah, I'm sure you're right," Kevin said worried himself. They got out of the car and walked over to the front door of Julia's apartment. Kevin used the key she had given him. They walked in and saw no one.
"Maybe she's asleep," she told him.
"Yeah," Kevin said heading towards the bedroom with Jordan right behind him. They opened the door to find Nick and Julia in bed together. Kevin eyes were blazing, he was so furious he couldn't even speak. Jordan covered her mouth and ran to the bathroom. Nick put on some boxers, stumbled out of bed, and went to the bathroom after Jordan. Julia sat up, still in bed, staring at Kevin's motionless body.

The night had grown cold and she lay on the ground. She was humming softly to herself. She couldn't feel the pain anymore. Was she dead? No, she could still see her breath escaping her mouth and disappearing. Her body had just become numb from feeling. She began to laugh. Or at least what sounded like a laugh. She was dying and it was painless. Her so-called laugh turned into a violent cough. When she finished a thin stream of blood flowed down the corner of her mouth. She tried to move her hand to wipe it away but she couldn't feel it. The mist from the night began to reside upon her body. She liked her lips to taste the moist air. Her face, she still had feeling on her face. Her body was limp on the ground and she wondered what everyone was talking about.
They said your life flashed before your eyes before you died. So why could she only see his face? She smiled. Her death was painful afterall. His face, two years of running away from it. His cheeks, his lips... his eyes. Two years afraid of his eyes. She couldn't. One look and she fell in. She fell in hard, and she was glad. Every moment spent with him wasn't enough. She wanted so much. Every second she spent looking into his eyes wasn't enough. She wanted so much. Every kiss she shared with him wasn't enough. She wanted so much. Her smile faded away. She wanted to see his face. She wanted this and nothing more. His face disappeared, she couldn't remember how he looked. Just to see his face once more. She wanted this and nothing more. Her smile reappeared, yet his face hadn't. She noticed her breath was thinning out. She wouldn't get what she wanted. The pain shot through her body, yet she was still numb. She would die forgetting his face. His smile, his lips.... his eyes. She loved his eyes. She loved his touch. She loved his words...
She loved him.
She loved him.
She loved him.
