» CHAPTER EIGHT «
Brian had called Piper's house twice during the day. Night had fallen and he still didn't know where she was. He got into his car and drove to her condo. Rain had started to fall as he stepped out of the car. He ran to the door and knocked hoping Jana would be home.
Jana had just finished taking a shower when she heard someone knock on the door. She quickly put the rest of her clothes on and went to go answer it. "Brian, hey, what are you doing here?" she asked noticing it was past 11 at night.
"Looking for Piper actually," he said still standing outside.
"Oh sorry, come in. She's not here though. She hasn't been home since early this morning."
"Do you know where she is?" he asked trying to dry himself off.
"I'm not sure..."
"So she left this morning, early this morning, without telling anyone where she was going and I'm the only one who finds this strange."
"You didn't let me finish, I'm not sure, but I might have a clue."
"Where do you think she is?"
"At the Gerington Cemetery."
Brian gave her a strange look. "At the cemetery? Why would she be there?"
"Are you going to look for her?"
"Yes, but why..."
Jana cut him off, "I'm coming with you." She grabbed her house keys, opened the front door, and walked out. Brian following right behind her.
They arrived at the cemetery thirty minutes later. The wind picked up as they walked across the cemetery. The rain hadn't let up, it was actually raining harder.
"Where are we going?" Brian asked. Jana didn't respond. Her eyes were locked straight in front of her. Brian continued to follow her without knowing what was going on.

Howie sat in his recliner talking on the phone to Kymmi.
"You're North American tour starts in September right?" Kymmi asked.
"Yeah, and you're coming with us to all the shows."
"Yeah right, I have a job too you know." Kymmi was a journalist for the Orlando Reporter for 2 years now. She loved her job and she was good at it. Unfortunately it didn't let her have much time off.
"Yeah, I was thinking about that. How about you do a review of some sort for our shows for the paper."
"It's a good idea, but I don't know what they're gonna say down at the office. I'll definitely ask though."
"Good."
"Oh, could you hold on, I've got another call."
"Yea sure."
Kymmi switched to her other line. A minute later she switched back. "Howie?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm gonna have to call you back. It's Colin from the office."
"Okay, don't forget to ask" Howie told her.
"I won't, I love you, bye."
"Love you too." Howie said hanging up.

He's mine. I don't care about his girlfriend. What was her name again? Oh yes, Kim Ann. Darling Kymmi, she'll have to go. She'll get in the way of me and him. Not like I'll have to try too hard to get rid of her anyway. I know he wants me as much as I want him. I could tell when I kissed him. He likes me more than that slut. Kymmi. Yes, she'll have to go. But how? It should be fast and clean. No. I should be able to enjoy it. She was the one standing between me and him. I should be able to enjoy it. It would be slow. Slow and painful. I should be able to enjoy it. She's probably with him now. All cozy and cuddly. That b*tch. I should be the one with him. Not her. I should be the one in his arms. Not her. It should be me. Me. Not her. And it will be me. As soon as I get rid of her. She'll be gone for good once I'm through with her. Slow and painful. Then it'll just be me and him. The way it's supposed to be. Me in his arms. All I have to do is get on the plane and I'll make it happen. Just like I made the kiss happen. I hope she enjoyed the pictures. Soon, she'd see it in person. Soon, I'd be with him. Soon... Kymmi. Soon.
