» CHAPTER FOURTEEN: COMING TOGETHER «
Golden's tour only crossed path with the Boy's once. It had been about 2 months, and since everyone would be together, Kate flew in for the weekend. That Saturday, Nick took Crystal out for a romantic dinner.
"Crystal, you can't believe how much I miss you," Nick said.
"Baby, you can't miss me, I'm here!" Crystal teased.
"Oh, funny! I missED you, ok?"
"Yes, thank you."
"I had this whole thing rehearsed, and your interruptions have confused me!" Nick said. "Well. Now that you've ruined my speech, I'll have to just come right out and say it. I love you, marry me?"
"I... I... You... Me..." Crystal babbled.
"Oh God, no, it's no isn't it?!" Nick cried out.
"Oh, I love you, Nick! Of course I will!" she exclaimed.
They both went to Nick's room after dinner. How about we just say Crystal stayed all night, but they didn't sleep much.

"Brian, I got my gown yesterday," Tory said.
"Good," Brian said. He wasn't paying attention to her, but intently watching a basketball game.
"The brides maid dresses are all set too," Tory said.
"Good."
"Too bad the wedding date is during armaggedan" Tory said, trying to get his attention.
"Mm-hmm"
"The honeymoons off," Tory said, still trying for his attention.
"What!" Brian cried, turning to face her.
"I knew that would work. Did you hear a word I said?"
"Of course I did baby," Brian said.
"What did I say then?" Tory asked.
"Well... um, you said.... ummmm... I give up!" Brian said, kissing Tory to keep her from saying anything else. They then proceeded to have a little wedding night preview.

Kate and Kevin spent as much time as possible together. Kate was finally trusting and unafraid of a man, and Kevin was just realizing how much he loved her. He decided to propose one night at dinner. He was usually one for long, wordy speeches, but he just blurted out during dinner in his room.
"Kate, marry me?"
"Of course!" Kate replied. They were smack in the middle of a deep kiss when the phone rang. It was Kayla, for Kate.
"Kate, help me!" Kayla yelled into the phone.
"Calm down, what wrong?" Kate asked.
"I'm late!" Kayla yelled.
"So, why are you calling me?"
"My period is late! I'm pregnant."
"Oh my God! Are you two happy?" Kate asked.
"Well, AJ doesn't know yet. I don't know how to tell him," Kayla explained.
"Ooook, are you happy?" Kate asked.
"Yes, I am, but how am I gunna tell AJ?" Kayla asked.
"Just tell him, it's the only way."
"OK, I will, bye."
"Bye," Kate said, hanging up the phone.
"What's up honey?" Kevin asked.
"Well, don't tell anyone, but Kayla's pregnant."

Kayla called AJ right after that. She made him dinner, baby back ribs and baby carrots. Hoping he'd get the point.
"Ribs! I love ribs," AJ said seeing his dinner.
"Yeah, BABY back ribs, BABY carrots too," Kayla said.
"Baby stuff, huh? Cool," AJ said.
"Jesus, AJ! Don't you get it?!" Kayla asked, looking into his confused eyes. "I'm pregnant."
"Pregnant? I'm going to be a daddy?" AJ said excitedly.
"Yes. So, you're happy?" Kayla asked.
"Very," AJ said. He kissed Kayla and put his hands over her belly.
"AJ, it's only a few cells. You won't be able to feel it move yet." Kayla teased.
"I don't care, it's mine," AJ responded.

"Daddy Howie!" Monica exclaimed, when she heard Howie's voice.
"Hey, sweetheart," Howie replied.
Gwen had just called to check on Monica, and since Howie was there, she let them talk. After about 10 minutes, Gwen took the phone back.
"Goodnight baby. Sweet dreams, mama love you," Gwen said. She really missed tucking Monica in at night, but she'd be home soon.
"Nigh-nigh Mama. Nigh-nigh Daddy Howie" Monica replied, not yet grasping the fact that Howie couldn't hear her right now. She hung up the phone and turned to Howie.
"She's still calling you Daddy Howie, huh?" she asked.
"Yeah," Howie replied. "To tell you the truth, I like it."
"Good! You know what that means then, don't you?" Gwen asked.
"What does it mean?"
"You're stuck with us for life, honey!"
"Well then, why don't we just get married?" Howie asked.
"Howie, did you just propose to me?" Gwen asked.
"Yes, I did" Howie replied.
"Ok, just making sure."
"Should I take that as a yes?"
"Yes, baby, you should," Gwen said. Howie grinned as she continued. "You know, I think I've loved you since the first day I saw you."
"Same here, baby, same here" Howie said, as he gave her a kiss and clicked off the light switch behind him.
