» CHAPTER TWO «

"Strike!" Krissy yelled in Lacey's face.

"Yeah, your first one!" she yelled back.

The bowling alley was empty except for Lacey, her best friend Kristina Smith, and her other friends Megan Giles, Jackie Barlow, and Waverly McKenna. They were having a girls' night out, bowling, then they were going to hit the clubs later.

Lacey got up to have her bowl. "Hey Lacey, look over there" Waverly pointed to the door.

In walked five guys and three bodyguards. "Oh my god! It's the Backstreet Boys!" Megan whispered.

"Chill out girl!" Lacey said back.

"Okay spill, there's something with you tonight" Kristina enquired.

"What makes you think that?"

"You know I can read your mind! We have known each other since we were born."

"Fine, this afternoon, when I completed that deal with Simonson & Son… "

"You got that! Congrats!!" they said.

"…well I was coming out of the building, and I sorta ran into them."

"And one of them saved you from hitting the ground….?" Kristina suggested

"Well, one of them saved my laptop from hitting the ground."

"Who?"

"Howie. Happy?"

"Yes! Why didn't you tell us this before?"

"Coz it isn't really a big deal"

"What is wrong with you girl! It's the Backstreet Boys!" Waverly practically yelled, standing up.

"Can you announce that to the world?" Lacey said, looking over at the guys.

Nick and Kevin had noticed Waverly standing up, and though they couldn't hear her, they saw her mouthing their name, and they started laughing at her.

"Well looks like we got fans here," Kevin turned around and told the guys.

"Well they're the only ones here, so it shouldn't be too bad," Brian said, checking out the girls. "Hey Howie, look over there. Isn't that the girl you banged into this afternoon?"

Howie looked up from tying his bowling shoes. "Hey yeah, Lacey."

"Ohh, Howie's been chasing her. How'd you know she was going to be here?"

"Huh? I didn't."

"Well you suggested the place," AJ said.

"Now look, they've seen you Wave and they're coming over here," Lacey said.

"Well at least you get a chance to make a fool of yourself again," Megan teased.

"Hello," the guys said, as they stopped by the girls while walking past.

"Hey," the girls said back, introducing themselves.

"Ah, hey Lacey," Howie said, "How's your head?"

"Fine, actually. So you just here to chill out?"

"We haven't been bowling for ages," AJ spoke up

"So are we going to whip your asses or not?"

The guys not wanting to pass up a challenge decided on the offer, guys verses girls. Megan took the first shot, knocking over six then the other four pins. She was rather short, with dark black hair, but a pale complexion, and she was slightly Asian eyes, as she was from the Philippines. She had a mild nature, but was hardly ever without a smile.

AJ went, then Krissy.

Lacey and Kristina had known each other since they were born, and had matching strong personalities. Krissy was about the same height as Lacey, with blue eyes, and blonde hair. She was outgoing, and they hardly went anywhere without each other. They had gone to an all girls boarding school for most of their high school years. She had left to follow her musical career, playing any instrument she picked up, but they had united again, when Krissy had gotten a job as a musical director for a production, and Lacey had tagged along, easily finding a job with a local computer firm, selling computer programs, and in her spare time, designing software.

Next Nick bowled nearly getting a strike. Jackie then went, getting a strike. She jumped up and down, "Yay!" She was the type of person that seemed to belong back in the 18th century. She was a very historical person, taking all the arts in High School, and taking History and Art History at the University.

Kevin bowled, then Lacey, Brian, Waverly who knocked over five, then Howie. Waverly was blonde, blue eyed (or sometimes green or grey depending on the weather) outgoing, and close to her family. She is the eldest of three girls, and missed her two sisters terribly when she was away from them.

"So what do you do for a living?" Howie asked Lacey, sitting next to her.

"Selling computer software."

"Cool, what firm?"

"Co-Creators."

"Really? I'm supposed to be meeting with a designer from there tomorrow. I need a program for my business."

"Sweet D. Inc?"

"Yeah, you heard of it?"

"Rumour around the office. I've seen a couple of your designs, I was helping with designing the program. They're really luxurious."

"Thanks."

"Ya hoo, Lace! Your bowl!!" Wave shouted.

Lacey stood up, and took the ball off the rack thing. 'This has got to be my lucky day.' She turned around, just before she went to bowl. "So what do we get if we win?"

AJ looked up from talking to Krissy. "How bout if we win you have to take us to a club?"

"And what if we win?" Megan asked.

"Then we get to take you to a club," Nick chimed in.

As it ended up, the girls won the game, with a lot of laughter, and 'yays'.

"So what club are we going to?"

"The Max."
