» CHAPTER FOURTEEN «

As soon as the plane landed, Howie, Jenny, and Kelly goes to his parent's house. Everyone is glad to see the group again. Jenny is six months pregnant now.

Paula looks at her and asks, "Have you seen a doctor on the tour?"

Jenny nods, "yeah, everything is fine. I'll have to find one for here, now."

Howie and Jenny secretly smile at each other, and they get ready to prepare his parents for what will happen in the following three months. They get to the house, and Sweetie barks, and jumps on Jenny. Jenny picks him up, and pets him.

"Hello, Sweetie. Were you a good boy?"

After putting their luggage away, Howie and Jenny get his parents, and they sit them down in the living room.

Paula exclaims, "Okay guys, what is it? You're scaring me."

Howie nods at her, and starts.

"We went to the doctor, and found out that.... we are having a couple more babies than usual."

Paula looks at him, shocked. Hoke is the same. Jenny laughs, and continues,

"I'm carrying triplets."

Paula and Hoke are speechless. They find their voice, and congratulates them. Everyone is laughing, and hugging the couple, and patting Howie on the back and Jenny on the stomach. After a while, they all get ready, to go to bed. It was really late.

The next day, everyone is up, except for Jenny. They are all whispering in the living room, making sure she doesn't hear.

"Is she ready for this kind of move? She'll be expecting in three months. She won't be able to help much." Paula whispers.

"We need the room, and I'll make sure that she'll take it easy." Howie answers.

Everyone nods, and they all get ready for Jenny's surprise. They all leave the house, quietly. A few minutes later, Jenny wakes up to find no one home. She figures that they went to run some errands, and finds a note on the refrigerator, directed to her.

        Jenny,
Sorry we're not here when you woke up, we figured that you needed your
sleep. We'll be back in time for lunch, don't worry about anything. There's
food in the refrigerator, in case you're hungry. We'll be back soon.
                                                        The Doroughs and Kelly

She smiles and gets something to eat from the refrigerator. After she's done, she goes up to take a shower, and gets dressed. She is all ready for the day, but there is really nothing to do. She cleans the house up a little bit, and takes Sweetie out for a while. Finally, she sits down on the couch, and watches a little t.v.  A few hours later, everyone comes home to find Jenny sleeping on the couch. The t.v. is left on. Howie smiles, and turns it off. He bends down, and gently wakes her up. Jenny stirs a little, and smiles when she sees him.

"Hi." she whispers.

She gets up, with a little help from Howie.

Howie whispers to her, "I have a little surprise for you. Will you come with me?"

Jenny nods, and gets some shoes, then follows him to his car. Howie helps her in, and Kelly gets in the backseat. She covers Jenny's eyes with a rag and smiles. Howie gets in the driver's seat and drives her around. Paula and Hoke follows, in their car. When the car stopped, Jenny is getting a little anxious.

"Can I look now?"

"No, not yet, wait a minute." Howie states, as he gets out of the car.

He helps Jenny out and Kelly follows them. He stops her, and takes off the blindfold. Jenny gasps at what she saw. In front of her is a two-story house.

"What is this? Why are we here?"

Howie smiles, and explains, "This, my dear, is our new home. I just bought it. Well, a few months ago before the tour. I went for a little house hunting, and I found this place. I thought it was a perfect place to raise our kids. I got it from my company, *Sweet D. Inc.*"

Paula and Hoke walk towards Jenny, and Paula gives her a set of house keys. Hoke gives her some deeds, and documents for the house. Jenny stares at the house.

"Well, go on! Look inside!" Howie exclaims.

She smiles at him, and walks to the door. She takes a key and unlocks the house. She steps in a front hall, and right in front of her, is a flight of stairs, that lead upstairs. She walks down the hall beside the stairs, and looks at the room on one side of the hall. The room is a dining area, fit for a large family.

"I think we'll eat here on holidays, and birthdays." Howie suggests.

She smiles and nods. She notices, that a large dining table and chairs are already inside the room.

"Why are furniture in here already?"

Everyone smiles.

Paula explains, "The whole house is furnished. While you were on tour, everyone in our family, went out and bought furniture and placed it in the house. Howie just saw it today, and rearranged a few things, but other than that, it's all here. We had to change a few things, since you're having triplets."

Jenny hugs her and Hoke, "Thank you."

She walks further down the hall, and steps in a split-room area. One side is a large kitchen, and the other side is a family room. There's a counter that makes the split.

"So we can watch the kids, while we're cooking." Kelly smiles.

Jenny walks in the kitchen, and looks around. She walks through the kitchen to the other side of the house, and sees a small dining area.

"For us, right?"

Howie smiles and nods. She walks to the back of the kitchen and sees a small laundry room, in between the dining room, and kitchen. She sees a door, and opens it to find a flight of stairs that lead to the basement.

"I figured, that we can use the basement as a storage area." Howie suggests.

She closes the door. Then Jenny turns around and looks at everyone.

"I love it! It's great!" she exclaims, smiling.

"Don't thank us yet, wait till you see what's upstairs." Hoke smiles.

Jenny looks at him uncertainly, and slowly goes to the flight of stairs, and climbs up. Everyone follows. When she gets to the top of the stairs, she sees a long hallway. There were three rooms on either side. She looks in the first room on the right, and sees a bedroom, all set for someone to live in.

"Howie said, that I could live in here." Kelly says.

Jenny smiles. Then she looks across the hall and looks in the next room. It's a bedroom too, but it seems like it's more for a child. She smiles, knowing that it's for one of the babies. She looks in the next room, and sees another child's room, and in the next room, the same thing. She goes into that room, and opens a door. She sees a small bathroom, set between the two bedrooms. She goes across the hall again and goes into the next room, and it's the master bedroom. It has a small bathroom in the back.

"I know who's going to be in here." Jenny tells everyone.

They all laugh. She goes in the last room and sees a bathroom. So the whole upstairs is like this,...a long hallway, with three rooms on both sides. The left side, is all children's rooms, with a small bathroom between the last two bedrooms at the end of the hall. The right side is the master bedroom at the end of the hall, a bathroom, and one more bedroom.

"I love it!" she exclaims.

Everyone laughs. She turns around and hugs Howie, while everyone looks on. Howie returns the hug and holds her.

Kelly smiles, "Jenny, there's still one more thing."

Jenny lets go of Howie and looks at Kelly, curiously.

"It's downstairs."

Kelly motions for her to follow, and walks back downstairs. She goes to the back of the house, and stops at a patio door. She smiles and points outside.

"Look."

Jenny looks outside. She gasps, and stares outside. Outside, there is a small beach area, with a small dock set on the edge of the ocean. There's a small patio deck right outside the patio doors, so people could sit outside and enjoy the view. On the deck, is a table and chairs, and there's a post with a dog's leash on it, for Sweetie.

"It's beautiful." she whispers.

Howie walks behind her, and holds her tightly.

"Thank you." she whispers.

Howie smiles, and looks out on the ocean. Everyone decides to leave them alone, so they go to the front of the house, and talk about general things. Howie and Jenny stand out by the patio, just holding one another.

"It's a great place, Howie. Thank you."

"No, thank you, for giving me a family that I always wanted. I love you."

"I love you too."

Finally, they go to the front of the house. Everyone decides to go out for dinner, so they all go back to Paula and Hook's house, and gets ready. They go out to a family restaurant, and talk.

"Well, when's the wedding going to be?" Paula asks, smiling.

Jenny and Howie looks at each other, and smiles.

"Well, we decided that since the babies are going to be born in three months, we decided on a July wedding. That way, we'll know that our anniversary will be a month before the babies birthday. We'll have a lot to do, and not enough time to do it in." Howie explains.

Everyone talks about what needs to be done in the next month. After everyone is done eating, Howie and Hoke pays the bill, and they go home, to Paula and Hoke's house. Howie, Jenny, and Kelly, will move into their new home in a month, after the wedding. Paula, Hoke, and Kelly will move them in, while Jenny and Howie are on their honeymoon.
