» CHAPTER EIGHT «

Jenny sees the limo, and gets ready to go to the studio. She yells for Kelly.

"Kelly! The limo is here. We need to go."

Kelly walks in the room and puts her shoes on real quick. Jenny checks the house and makes sure that it's secure, before she gets in the limo. They head for the studio. When they get there, a security guard stops them.

"Sorry miss, you can't get in here. It's a secure area." the guard tells them.

Jenny smiles, "Well, sir. I can get in, because I'm expected to speak to Denise McLean. If you don't believe me, call her and tell her that Jenny and Kelly are here. She'll come."

The guard sighs and calls Denise on a cell phone," Hello, Mrs. McLean, I have two girls here, they say that you were expecting them. Their names are Jenny and Kelly." He waits and looks at Jenny, ashamed.

"Yes ma'am, I'll tell them. Sorry." he hangs up the phone and smiles at Jenny.

"I'm sorry ma'am. I didn't know you were part of the tour, please...come in."

He opens the door for them, and lets them in.

"Thank you so much, sir." Jenny smiles at the guard and heads inside.

Denise walks out to meet them, and smiles. She motions for them to follow her. They walk into the guys dressing room and sees the guys sitting around the room, waiting for the girls. Denise motions for them to sit at the table in the back of the room. Jenny and Kelly sit on one side, while Denise sits on the other side.

"So...how's everyone?" Denise asks.

"We're fine, just a little nervous about this meeting. What sort of things do we need to talk about?" Jenny answers.

Denise smiles, "You don't have to be nervous...we're just going to talk about what arrangements are going to happen, while you're on the tour...and some rules...and things of that sort. Well, let's get started. First, we'll talk about the hotel arrangements, and fan control."

Jenny nods and listens carefully. Kelly looks confused, and raises her hand. Denise and the guys laugh.

"Kelly, you're not in school. You don't have to raise your hand. What do you need to know?" Denise asks.

"What do you mean, by fan control?"

"Well, we mean that when you are out there with the guys, the girls will be jealous, and we wouldn't want anything to happen to you. That's what we're going to talk about." Denise answers, smiling.

Kelly nods, and they all talk about what girls will be doing. Denise does most of the talking...but the guys throw some details in some of the time. The girls find out, that they will be with the band, instead of the guys...unless the guys let them sleep in their room, and they talk about Kelly tutoring with Denise, and Jenny approves of this. Now they are talking about what the girls are going to do while they are on tour. Denise and Howie smiles at the subject. They have a special assignment for Jenny, and Kelly will be dancing with the dancers on stage with the guys. Jenny looks confused.

"What will I be doing? I really don't have dancing skills, and I'm not a great singer."

Howie smiles, and looks at Denise, "Can I tell her?"

Denise smiles and nods. She sits there, listening. Howie starts talking to Jenny.

"Jenny, we have a special surprise for you. I did some little arrangements and we decided to do something for you.  Do you remember our first date?"

Jenny smiles and nods.

"Well, I talked to Denise and the guys, and we realized that our music is missing something. We decided to put you in the whole show, and not just specific parts, like Kelly and the dancers."

Jenny looks at the group in shock, "What?! What am I going to do?"

Howie smiles, and continues, "We need someone who can sign for us...we need our music heard to the deaf community. Now,...I know some deaf people hear our music with the beat, and some don't like signing to music,...but we decided to take a risk. Will you do it?"

Jenny smiles and nods. "Yeah, I'll do it. I would love to do it."

They all smile and then they all left to start packing and to get out on the road.
