Chapter Five
"Why do you always try and hook me up with people?" I asked. It was about an hour after Nick left and we were all up in my room.
"At least she's not hookin' you up with animals," Alex chuckled.
"Why do you hafta be a smart ass all the time?" AJ asked him.
"Because I AM a smart ass." He replied.
AJ rolled her eyes and turned back to me. "Sarah, I know you want a boyfriend. Don't you think Nick's cute?" I didn't answer her. Of course I thought he was cute, but sometimes I really don't want to let her know she's right. "Well?"
      "Fine, yeah I do. Happy?"
"YES!!!!!!" She screamed, with a smile on her face. "Why don't you ask him out then?"
"Isn't that the guys job?" I asked.
"Not always. Listen," She started, pulling me off the bed and pushing me to my closet. "We can get you all dressed nice-"
      "No dress."
"Fine, no dress." She agreed, pulling everything out of my closet one by one. Alex just stood there laughing. "Oh how cute-"
      "Dress."
"Got it," she said, throwing the dress aside. After about a half-hour, I walked back into my room from trying on outfits in the bathroom.
"What about this?" I asked. "Is it too.. early 90's?"
"All you're missin' is a wig and you could sing-"
"Shut up!" AJ warned, interrupting Alex. "We have one more outfit she can try." She told me. Five minutes later, I walked back into my room with a dress on.
Alex whistled and AJ elbowed him. "What?!" He asked. "She looks hot."
"Good," AJ smiled. "Now we can do your hair." She said pushing me back to the bathroom. Before she started on my hair, she stuck her head back in the room and told Alex to call Nick. Alex rolled his eyes and picked up the phone, dialing Nick's phone number.
