" I love Eric Burdon and The Animals. Was glad to find your pages.
Even today when I hear "It's My Life," it's message rings so true and still
has such an EDGE after 30 years. A great song. Eric is an original, no doubt about that! I hope he is doing well.

Thanks much,
Wes "

" Hi there! I was checking out your site and I think it's really great. I'm an admirer of Eric's music as well. I especially like his music when he played with WAR. On the 'Love is all around' LP, the last song 'Paint it Black' is live (great sound quality as well). Do you know if there are any records out there with more from that concert or others when he played with WAR?? I think any recording of EB & WAR captured live must be mind blowing!! The studio albums are great but EB is a live performer at the end of the day, that's where he seems to prove his worth.

Thanks,

" Eric Burdon is a very special person in every way you say he is. I have known that for 36 years!!! Some of his early work e.g. "It's my life" I didn't necessarily agree with when I grew up! But most of his work, and certainly his love for his fellow man, will live on forever in my heart.

" I was probably 16 when I first heard The Animals--back in the magic time of 1964. Have all their LPs on vinyl, through "Black Man's Burdon". A long-time favorite is "Blue Feeling"--which on my LP is scratched through, so it skips. "The Complete Animals" finally solved that problem.
Yeah, good to see younger folk digging Burdon. I always have, and am currently working to get all those LPs on CD (this month got "Eric is Here," "Winds of Change," and "The Twain Shall Meet". It had been too many years since I'd heard them (especially "Eric is Here"--bought when it was released while I was in high school). Ah, those years: bought both "Animalization" and "Animalism" on the same day I discovered them (they were released so close together).
Now to find a way to go back (_with_ the CDs) to those times, and be the same ages again. And here's to his "St. James Infirmary" -- the CD of the LP I still seek (as also all those early ones).
You might look up the CDs of "The Animals" and "Animal Tracks" as released by EMI on CD (in 1998-99ish). Track listings are different, but that can be rearranged with "The Complete Animals," CD player, and cassette deck.
Keep up the fun! And keep rockin'! (to quote John Lennon)
P.S. My order of favorites for that era: Beatles, Animals, Kinks. Animals taught me more about US music than the Rolling Stones could even _attempt_. And that fade-out: ". . . Jimmy Reed too, baby!"
