Traveling around Places I have been to and what I thought afterwards...
Austria
I went to Austria with my old school, Oaklands RC Comprehensive way back in 92 I think. Being young I enjoyed the #) hour coach journey to get there, but from my perspective now, I think we were mad! Still it was great fun and the first (and last) time I went skiing. Unpasturised fresh cows milk is an experience I will never forget. Not to mention the drag show organized by the teachers. Innocent at the time, but come on... You have to wonder about paedophile teachers!
France
First time here was with my First school, Mill Rythe Middle in Hayling Island. Cant remember much except it was sunny, we were near a beach, teenage mutant ninja turtles were in fashion and the food was horrible. Fun! We went here again with Oaklands, this time to St. Anion. Im not totally sure I spent that right but It'll do! This was a lot of fun, swimming in dirty lakes with mosquito's, tasting the wine, eating tat food. Special days! We also went to Paris and the Eiffel tower. I was too scared to go to the top! But will conquer it one day soon!
Germany
Only ever been there in passing until I visited my good friend Jihane in Karlsruhe. A lovely place with excellent kebab shops! Oh and the Ice Cafes... Heaven...
Hungary
I was here with the International Association of Physics Students for their Annual Physics Conference. Traveling with the typical ignorant western conceptions, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure there are throwbacks to the old days, but the people are extremely nice and are moving forward at a furious pace. The University there is awesome! Accommodation was very old school but we survived. Nice food out, horribly expensive, tourists get HEAVILY RIPPED OFF. Food we got from dirty canteens was the worst ever. Still I had a lot of fun!
Croatia
We were lucky enough to visit Zadar with IAPS again. Bullet holes bloody everywhere but it is a very lovely place. Quaint, cheap and beautiful! Will never forget those special memories as long as I live!
Ireland
IAPS Conference again in Dublin. Totally hated it while I was there but longed to return once I arrived home... Things happened which I regret but I'm glad to have gone and spent time with my friends. Lots of green stuff there!
