19990105: Speech in Spellit3

January/1999
Tech Note #5

Here's another note from Ron (Sargent Park) H.

They installed Spellit3 on the server, and made icons to it in the computer lab. The program ran fine and had sound but not speech. On one workstation where the program was installed locally the speech component worked fine.

Ron found that all that was needed to get the speech component to work on all the other workstations was to copy the C:\PROVW21 directory and the C:\WINDOWS\PROV.INI file from the one workstation where it was installed locally to the networked workstations.
