19990606: Automatic Service Pack 4 Install Didn't?

June/1999
Tech Note #6

It is quite possible that Y2K Service Pack 4 installation did not launch automatically on Windows NT 4.0 servers. There is a known problem in the batch which calls it. The next CD will have this fixed, but in the meantime Service Pack 5 has been released, and IE 4.01 Service Pack 2, and MDAC 2.1 Service Pack 2, etc. etc.

If you can't get Service Pack 4 to install off the CD, look for read-only files in the <systemroot>\SYSTEM32 directory. Remove the read-only attribute and run the install again. Should be okay. Or you can just wait for Service Pack 5.
