19990612: Check School Network Routine

June/1999
Tech Note #12

All schools should have at least one - preferably two - people designated to logon to the Wingate server as Sysop to run Check School Network. Before any trouble calls are submitted to Information Systems pertaining to Internet, proxy server, mail, or mainframe access problems, the lab facilitator or head secretary should run Check School Network in the WSD1 Sysop Utilities group. This routine takes a minute or two to run and, when complete, displays a screen with basic network information which they will require before calling their technician or Information Systems. It will also give basic advice on what the best course of action is.

This routine is installed automatically by the NT Server Prep Update Diskette.
