19991011: Lost Your Microsoft Access License?

October/1999
Tech Note #11

Richard R contributed this one. There is a bug in Microsoft Access which may cause one of the following messages to appear when you try to run it:
Microsoft Access can't start because there is no license for it on this machine.
-or-
Can't find the database you specified or you didn't specify a database at all.
-or-
Microsoft Access can't be started as there is no license for it on this machine.

Microsoft Technical Article Q141373 has detailed information on resolving the issue. There is also a downloadable tool.
