20001006: Eudora Error "Out of Disk Space"

October/2000
Tech Note #6

Richard R came across this interesting note. In Eudora, you may get the message "Out of Disk Space" when you try to check your mail. Despite the message, your hard drive has plenty of free space. This can be caused by a couple of things. If the folder location specified for attachments does not exist, you will get this error. Also, if the TEMP directory (usually C:\WINDOWS\TEMP) does not exist, you may also see this problem. Simply change the attachment directory setting in Eudora's options, or create the missing TEMP directory as needed. For more information, consult this article in the Eudora Knowledge Base.
