Gave a mess of plants away. Java Ferns are totally rampaging to the point I am throwing out plantlets. I likely have 15-20 Java Ferns( over 1" leaves and firm "crown" at roots) around the aquarium from my single plant $5 purchase 6 months ago. The Amazon Sword has at LEAST 20 leaves and I wonder if they divide? I haven't a clue but never had one thriving this nice. Also have a mess of self perpetuating hornwort that I generously dispose of any "non-perfect" plants. Added a flora-sun bulb set 2 months ago, but I always did well with plants.
The 2 Dwarf Suckers I have added seem to be thriving. The Firemouths are doing well, as is the small Angelfish I added. The 2 Banjo Catfish are lazy, and the red finned loach has already been tempted out of hiding with a light turned off and freeze dried tubifex worms.
I regularly clip/divide/replant hornwort and Java Ferns. My firemouths prefer (so I 've read) small gravel, but I have the fine gravel on the filter side so hornwort is gonna get sucked up. I am trying to add hornwort clippings to the filter side regardless to give the firemouths some cover over the preferred gravel.
