Hail travelers,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Cudget Shadowswift of Freeport. I would like to thank you all for your patience as the time has past; some of you have been waiting for quite some time now. I would like to let you know that we are attempting to move forward with the assembling of our guild.
I feel that it is only fair that you know what it is that we have in mind for this guild. I know that we have left you all in the dark up to this point. Our guild will be founded on the idea that its members are outcasts. Now before any of you start thinking that you no longer belong, we need more than just outcasts. Since outcasts may often need the support of those that have good standing in a given city the guild will consist of supporting individuals that aid the other members in there journeys and adventures.
I am racially indifferent. I judge adventurers on the skills and characteristics that I see as I fight, drink, and travel with them. I understand that not all people see things this way. What I ask is that you trust me in that I will bring in those members that benefit the needs of the guild and contribute to our success. I know that some of you may not necessarily like or agree with others, but it is those people that will be able to help you acquire possessions from places that are far too unruly for you to enter. It is for these reasons that I ask you to attempt to be civil with all guild mates.
To explain where the idea for this guild came from I will give you a brief background on myself. I was born to a human mother. My father was a wood-elf. At a very young age, I was sent out of my mother’s home, for I was not accepted by her family or the circle of friends that she had. It was at this time that I was taken in by the traders and thieves of Freeport (some would argue that they are one in the same). It was there that I learned my many skills.
After some time, I decided that it was my time to venture beyond the walls of Freeport and find my own calling. On my journeys I met many interesting adventurers, some that were of extraordinary skill and others that were not of such skill… but all of them were people that I could learn much from.
I have now decided to create an alliance of fellow adventurers so that we may assist each other in our journeys and experience the wonders of Norrath together.
I am now happy to invite you all to join us in creating the “Outcast Adventurers”.*
Sincerely,
Cudget Shadowswift
Charter (OOC)
The Outcast Adventurers is a guild intended for role-play. The guild will consist of “outcast” characters as well as their supporters. The following are a few guidelines that members of the guild should follow while in game.
Player Interaction
When interacting with other players, members will not KS or intentionally train mobs on other players. This makes other players gaming experience a negative one, something that we do not want our guild associated with. Please be considerate of other players.
Chat
All in game chat (excluding ooc) should be in character whenever possible. For those occasions that you feel you cannot talk in character or have out of character things to discuss with someone we ask that you mark the text as out of character by simply starting with “ooc”. This is to simply let the person know that the message is out of character.
The use of vulgar or profane language broadcasted across zones will not be tolerated. Members who are reported as doing such will face a possible (most probable) removal from the guild. We would like to maintain a decent reputation on our server, and therefore will require that our members follow the rules set forth by the EQ staff.
Racial/Class Tensions
Due to the role-play nature of our guild I am expecting that there will be racial tensions, even within our guild, especially since there is no race restriction/class on being a member. This restriction has it’s purpose and I feel that it can make for a fun role-playing environment, but please do not use this as an excuse to scream/harass another player. It is one thing for your character to hesitate or feel uncomfortable traveling/grouping with another and a completely different thing for you to shout and call each other names. Please play your character, but don’t do so to an extent that will hinder other players/members enjoyment of the game.
Future Members/Initiates
All new members will be required to have a session/discussion with the guild lead. In some special cases an officer will meet with the initiate in the absence of the lead.
