Club Profile

Superiorland Toastmasters is open to all interested persons, regardless of race, religion or nationality. Our group is as friendly as it is varied. The atmosphere is one of kindness, acceptance, sincerity and learning.

Chartered in December 2001, our members come from all walks of life and have at least one goal in common. We all want to speak better and present ourselves to the world with greater confidence.

During our meetings we follow Roberts Rules of Order, in a semi-formal manner. We have fun while we maintain a set program to accomplish our goals. We require meetings to begin and end on time, but in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

It is often said that the clubroom is not a classroom, however, you cannot attend one of our meetings without learning something useful. And, it costs much less than taking classes!

The Toastmaster's Promise

  • To attend Club meetings regularly;
  • To prepare all of my speeches to the best of my ability, basing them on projects in the Communication and Leadership program manual or the Advanced Communication and Leadership Program manuals.
  • To prepare for and fulfill meeting assignments;
  • To provide fellow members with helpful, constructive evaluations;
  • To help the Club maintain the positive, friendly environment necessary for all members to learn and grow;
  • To serve my Club as an officer when called upon to do so;
  • To treat my fellow Club members and our guests with respect and courtesy;
  • To bring guests to Club meetings so they can see the benefits Toastmasters membership offers;
  • To adhere to the guidelines and rules for all Toastmasters educational and recognition programs.
  • To maintain honest and highly ethical standards during the conduct of all Toastmasters activities.
