Kammatari is one of the better JupunGatana, but not by much. His skill with a Scythe is unmatched and really innovative. I got to credit the creator of Ruruoni Kenshin for creating very innovative fighting techniques. These little things is what makes Ruruoni Kenshin so great. Anyways, Kammatari covers the basics of fighting, offense and defense. You would think with the size of that Scythe the ability to wield it would be greatly hampered. In most cases being able to weild in a nimble manor would be enough. For the most part I would agree but with true swordmasters that is just the first step and won't last in a true fight. To make up for this weakness Kamatari equips a ball and chain to cover that small lapse of defense. A truly innovative idea..
