Camp Challenge: Where dreams are assembled

Yeah ok whatever. In August our school had a Challenge Camp, in which we hiked into the wilderness, propped tents, hiked some more and ate dehydrated food for something like 4 days. Those in attendance: my friends Tara, Stormy, Drea, Marissa, Heidi, and 3 guys: John (I think), Eric and Travis. Also two chaperones (cops) OP and some ladycop. Not to mention presidential candidates George W. Bush and Al Gore. Those were some fun times.

Well, I got my pictures developed a while ago, but haven't put them up yet. I've been pretty busy doing... whatever busy people do. So I found time to scan 3 of them and put them up here on the web. So, here we go:

What a creepy pic. This was an all-around party day here. From left; Drea, Dubya and Stormy. "The Three Musketeers" is what we called them. Even though Stormy and Drea don't really seem like Republicans they still got along great with Dubya. I think they liked to laugh at his lapses in grammar. OP kept commenting on how witty Stormy was, so maybe she hung out with W. to make herself appear even wittier.

Now a really odd couple at camp was Travis (Captain Shuffleboard) and Al. Travis seems so conservative... he should've been hanging out with W. But he and Al had great times. Here they are both looking at the landscape after a strenuous hike to a big peak. Dubya aptly named it "Big Valley High." Don't ask.

This is my favorite picture of the trip. It was such a great moment. Here we have Capt. Shuff and Al in an embrace, as if contemplating life or just newfound friendships. It was such a great moment, though I felt kind of bad for Eric, because he was Travis's tent partner. Then Travis ended up spending all of his time with Al. Don't get me wrong, Al's a cool dude, but Eric was feeling a bit left out. More on that later.

So that's all I have right now. I hope to put more up soon, as soon as I get around to scanning them. AL GORE FOR PRESIDENT 2000
