This morning it was 60 degrees when I got up. The humidity was high making the sidewalks wet. There was a slight breeze and it felt wonderful. I've forgotten what moist air felt like. When I walked out the door I could feel the skin on my face and hands drink in the moisture. I drove to work with the windows down and the radio off. Had I thought of it, I would have taken the slow way to work, but out of habit I turned right instead of left at the corner. It would have been so easy to go past my exit and kept going for a few more miles to the zoo. It was so tempting.

It's 9p and 64 degrees now and raining. The weather says that in about 3 hours there will be freezing rain and maybe snow.

There was a horrible smell in my bay at work. Our building used to be a training center for mechanics. The garage doors were sealed shut and bays divided up into departments. Anyway our bay stunk like something dead. Graphics blamed it on digitizing, digitizing blamed it on graphics. I went and got the janitor who sprayed fresh linen air freshner. That helped.....for a little while. Then it smelled like something dead wrapped in a dryer sheet.

We opened the door to the outside hall and to the next bay. It helped some.
