While I'm not stressed out yet, I soon will be.
I am sick of fiddleback spiders. I hadn't seen one in quite
a while so I decided to stay here. Then Thursday I stop by the
office just before they closed and signed another 6 mo lease.
Come home, go to pee and there is a 2 inch fiddle back in my
bathtub.
I was upset to say the least. So I called mom and asked her
what to do while trying hard not to cry. She said go back to
the office in the morning and ask to be let out of the lease.
In my fit of cleaning and paranoia I found another fiddleback
under the table the tv sits on. This one was dead, but didn't
look like it had been dead long since it was still plump and
not dried out the way dead spiders get.
Friday I went to the office and the property manager was there,
(her daughter signed me to the lease). I told her I was in the
day before and changed my mind and would like to go month to
month. So I'm here at least until June 30 when my lease expires
and free to go after that.
So Sunday I went to the 7-11 and picked up the local paper
and the Apartment Guide. Today I called a few places and went
to one of them. Didn't care for it, ugly surroundings, cramped
parking, right off a super busy street, no grass and the buildings
are too close together.
I think I've become spoiled living in this complex. There
is grass, lots of space between buildings, and quiet.
There is one place that is way the heck out there. Ponds,
lots of trees, a creek, waterfall, sounds like my kinda place.
The down side, may not be able to keep my phone number and probably
not any DSL or cable internet out there. Not too much more than
what I'm paying now for about the same size and it'll come with
a stackable washer and dryer. I'd like to stay in Edmond, but
for this and another one I looked at in April, I'd be willing
to move into OKC....just as soon as they get DSL out there.
Have also thought about staying here. There is a special on
2 bedrooms for $430. As long as none of them are in building
4, I could stay here and just move to another building...but
what would that building be infested with????
So that's what I'll be doing for the next few weeks, apartment
hunting and moving.
