Having computer problems. It makes a terrible sound, like
a golf ball being bounced on a piece of sheet metal. It will
lock up, automatically restart and sometimes either lock up or
restart in the middle of the restart.
Then starting up a few mintues ago it told flashed a warning
on the bottom of the screen saying to do a back up and replace
the hard drive as a failure could happen soon.
That's comforting.
That's also the last thing I need right now. I have my gyno
appt Fri, my car's air conditioner needs fixing and I 'm still
looking for somewhere to live.
And just this morning I thought that I could just buy a second
CPU and strip the hard drive out of the old one if nothing is
wrong with it along with the cd drive and put it in the new one.
Or just buy a second one and network it to this one. But if the
hard drive is shot, oh, well.
Maybe a fiddleback crawled up in there and died.
It was fine until about a week and a half ago when I dusted
it. So I bought canned air and took off the cover and cleaned
it out, but it didn't help.
