My wrist is about the same, maybe a bit more painful than
it was a month ago. So I went in, chatted with the dr. and decided
to have surgery to remove my little ganglion.
May 22. Surgery at 8a. I have to be at the hospital no later
than 6a.
Icky hours but considering I'm not allowed to eat after midnight
the night before, this will allow me to get it over with and
be able to eat when lunch rolls around.
I'll be able to go to work the next day if I feel like it
and work on the computer as comfort permits. I'll be given a
course of antibiotics and Percocet. Percocet is the strongest
painkiller out there and he'd rather give me that than have me
call him later wanting something stronger. I've never taken anything
stronger than Lortab and I didn't like that. Made me loopy and
dizzy. Mom said I could take tylonol and if that didn't help,
then I could take the Percocet. Just because he prescribes it,
doesn't mean I have to take it she said.
I'm going to South Dakota on May 9 and back around the 15th.
Me and Mom are going. She realized a few days ago that my birthday
and Mother's day are the same day this year and we thought it
would be cool to be up there for mother's day and my birthday.
I've never been anywhere for my birthday, so this will be a treat.
South Dakota in May, can't wait.
