Croyde bay is one of the best surfing spots in Britain and is known for picking up almost any swell going. It lies about half an hour from near by Barnstaple and a little more than an hour from Taunton.

At Croyde you are guaranteed at least one good day of surf a week.

The village of Croyde lies half a mile back from the actual Bay of Croyde. It houses many people and has a few surf shops and many places to eat, one of them being the Thatch Inn.

The swell picked up in Croyde is very much the same as that in Newquay in Cornwall.
