Sir Adamjee Institute of Technology
(SAIT)
The Pakistan Memon Educational &
Welfare Society, established in 1933 by the Late Sir Adamjee Haji Dawood, has
led countless students towards the path of knowledge and learning, respect and
prosperity.
Not confining itself to just giving
Scholarships to students, the Society moved on to establish the famous Adamjee
Science College which is now nationalized.
In its recent endeavor, the Pakistan
Memon Educational Society has established the Sir Adamjee Institute of
Information Technology. The Institute is located in the conducive and central
locality of Memon Colony, Federal B Area of Karachi. The grand building spread
over two acres of land is equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment and
contains all the modern facilities of an ideal institute.
About SAIT
The Sir Adamjee Institute of Technology
has large and well-furnished rooms which are fully air-conditioned where 30
students can seat comfortably. There are two computer labs with 32 latest
computers each and a Netfinity server.
Two libraries containing books,
magazines, Compact Disks and audio-visual equipment will provide reference and
research facilities.
A large auditorium with a seating
capacity of 1500 persons, three lawns, a canteen and playgrounds for games and
sports add to the completeness of the Institute.
The Sir Adamjee Institute of
Techonology is to be inaugurated on the 12th of February 2000 and the classes
will commence from the first week of February.
Courses & Affiliation
The Institute will, initially, start
its courses and curricula in phases. In the first phase, it will offer
Certificate Courses in various software.
In a short time, students will be able
to study for a Diploma, Graduation and Masters.
The Institute is in the process of
affiliating itself with some of the best Universities. The Institute of Business
Administration (IBA), Iqra, Hamdard and Karachi University have been approached.
This affiliation will help all the
Memon Computer Institutes to standardize their curricula and gain universal
recognition of their courses and certification.
