Librarianship in Ethiopia: a bibliography

What is Africa?

Africa is a vast continent of 53 countries and surprisingly enough is divided in two distinctive regions - the North of Sahara, and the South of Sahara. North of Sahara people are white in complexion, while the whole South of Sahara people are dark. South Africa is virtually not in Africa. People do not count it in any Africa because of its long history of British rule, and so also Egypt - it has its own very rich history. So when people talk about Africa, they talk about only the South of Sahara or Black Africa.

North of Sahara is mostly Muslim and includes countries like: Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, of course they are not many. While South of Sahara includes countries like: Botswana, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, Zaire, Zambia,  Zimbabwe,

Even among the South of Sahara countries ...,   some countries are French-speaking. Their course of development is different from the English-speaking countries. Thus the Africa boils down to only English-speaking South of Sahara countries.
