The whole Kaartik Maas is said to be very holy. Many festivals fall in this month only. Many people, especially women, take bath early in the morning (Brahm Muhoort), worship Tulsee Jee, and tell several religious stories the whole Kaartik month.

Who cannot take bath in the said way as above, they take a dip in the Holy River Ganges on this day. Fairs are arranged on the bank of Gangaa River at many places
